Amy McDonald
Vice President, Consulting Operations
Amy McDonald, of Port Orchard, Washington, joined AMI International in March of 2009. As a graduate of the University of Washington, she received a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Amy’s college career gave her a solid foundation in marketing research, business plan development, and project management. She also developed a fundamental understanding of globalization, foreign competition, and international marketing.
Amy’s participation in an intensive consulting internship gave her first-hand knowledge of growing a business. Amy and her team worked directly with a local business owner, and ultimately produced a comprehensive marketing plan with creative promotional tactics, measurable goals, and an implementable timeline. Her leadership role earned her a spot on the Business and Economic Development Center’s (BEDC) Leadership Team. Over the years, BEDC has helped generate more than $55 million in new revenue for its clients.
PAmy also worked with the Managing Director of the Global Trade, Transportation, and Logistics Office at the University of Washington. As an assistant, she researched topics on international trade, transportation systems, commercial shipping, and national security.
